1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Authentication is handled by Supabase and passwords are never stored in plain text.

Uploaded Documents

When you use TenantProof, you upload documents (pay stubs, bank statements, etc.) for analysis. These documents may contain personal information about your tenant applicants including names, addresses, employment details, and financial data.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage analytics (via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to improve the product. This includes page views, feature usage, and general interaction patterns. No document content is included in analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Document Analysis: Uploaded documents are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for analysis. Anthropic does not use API inputs for training.
  • Results Storage: Analysis results (risk scores, findings) are stored in our database to display your screening history.
  • Product Improvement: Anonymous, aggregated data helps us improve fraud detection accuracy.

3. Data Retention

  • Documents: Automatically deleted within 30 days of upload
  • Analysis Results: Retained while your account is active
  • Account Data: Retained until you request deletion

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

  • Anthropic: Document content sent for AI analysis (governed by Anthropic's API terms — not used for training)
  • Supabase: Database and file storage hosting
  • Vercel: Application hosting
  • Google/Microsoft: Anonymous analytics only

5. Security

We protect your data with:

  • HTTPS encryption in transit
  • Row-level security in our database (users can only access their own data)
  • Automatic document cleanup after 30 days
  • Rate limiting to prevent abuse
  • Security headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options)

6. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access your data through your dashboard
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (managed by Supabase) and analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity). Analytics cookies can be blocked by browser settings without affecting core functionality.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
