1. Service Description

TenantProof ("Service") is an AI-powered document analysis tool that helps landlords and property managers identify potential signs of document manipulation in tenant application materials including pay stubs, bank statements, employment letters, and tax documents.

2. Decision Support Only

TenantProof is a decision support tool, not a consumer reporting agency. Our analysis results do not constitute a tenant screening report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). You should not use TenantProof results as the sole basis for accepting or rejecting a tenant application.

Always verify suspicious findings through independent means (contacting employers directly, requesting additional documentation, etc.) before making rental decisions.

3. Accuracy and Limitations

While we strive for accuracy, AI-based analysis has inherent limitations:

  • False positives may occur (legitimate documents flagged as suspicious)
  • False negatives may occur (fraudulent documents may not be detected)
  • Results should be one factor in your overall evaluation, not the only factor

4. Data Handling

Documents uploaded to TenantProof are processed for analysis and automatically deleted within 30 days. We do not sell or share uploaded documents with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Only upload documents you have legal authorization to review
  • Use the Service in compliance with applicable fair housing laws
  • Not use results to discriminate based on protected characteristics
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or exploit the Service

6. Pricing

TenantProof is currently free during beta. Post-beta pricing is $29 per screening with no subscription required. Prices may change with advance notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

TenantProof is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for decisions made based on our analysis results, including but not limited to losses from accepting or rejecting tenant applications.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
